Dear Market Participant, 

We would like to inform you that the Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMOs) will increase the threshold that triggers the Second Auction procedure on the SDAC auction from 1500 Euros/MWh to 2400 Euros/MWh on 07 December 2022 (first trading day) for delivery 08 December 2022. The Second Auction is triggered in case at least the price for one hour reaches or exceeds the predefined price thresholds.

The routine consists in reopening the NEMOs order books for 15 minutes to give the Market Participants the opportunity to modify their bids in order to improve the market situation. All SDAC NEMOs have the right but not the obligation to reopen their order books to their Market Participants. Please be aware that in case the concerned prices still reach the predefined thresholds after the Second Auction calculation, there will be no more triggering of a further Second Auction.

Important information - Action required

• The Second Auction threshold will be increased from 1500 Euros/MWh to 2400 Euros/MWh on SEMOpx Single Day-Ahead Coupling auction.
• The increase will be implemented on 07 December 2022 (first trading day) for delivery 08 December 2022.
• The IDA 1 / 2 / 3 auctions will remain unimpacted
• ETS production maintenance on 6 December 2022 from 18:40 GMT to 20:00 GMT
• New thresholds available in Simulation 2 environment as of 25 November 2022 EOD
