Dear Member, 

The SEMOpx June 2022 monthly report can be found here. 

The key market statistics are: 

• Traded volume (GWh) is 3% higher in June 2022 than in June 2021 with a 3% decline versus May 2022.
• The traded value (€) is 97% higher in June 2022 than the previous year and shows a 24% increase in comparison to May 2022. 
• DAM average price for June 2022 is 91% higher than in June 2021 and increased 27% from May 2022.
  
• DAM average prices and market value remain higher than historical levels due to the elevated gas prices and unpredictability of renewable output. The month on month increases have relaxed due to increased levels of LNG in GB however market coupling fundamentals with mainland Europe have shifted resulting in net import trends reversing to net export which will have a knock on effect in SEM.
